Sanborn grows technology suite by acquiring VeriDaaS assets

Sanborn Map Company, a prominent player in the geospatial industry, has announced the acquisition of VeriDaaS, a technology company at the forefront of Geiger mode Lidar innovation. This move supports Sanborn’s strategic objective of sustaining growth while offering the latest technology to its clients.

The integration of VeriDaaS’s assets and advanced solutions into Sanborn’s Mapping Division will bolster the company’s capacity to deliver comprehensive, highly advanced services. With the significant maturation of this technology since its inception, the acquisition is poised to drive considerable growth for Sanborn in the coming years.

Expanded Lidar capabilities

Over the past years, VeriDaaS has built an extensive portfolio of market applications, ranging from asset management and vegetation management to solar siting, flood risk assessment, resilience planning, wildfire management, and urban change analysis. By integrating this advanced technology with Sanborn’s linear mode Lidar, Sanborn is poised to elevate its expertise and provide significantly enhanced services to its customers.
