Cloudeo, a one-stop shop for geospatial solutions, has partnered with Globhe, a drone-as-a-service company, to expand its geospatial products offered through the Cloudeo marketplace. The partnership will introduce drone data as part of the Cloudeo geospatial products, going beyond satellite and aerial solutions.
The inclusion of drone data in the Cloudeo marketplace is a significant step in meeting the state-of-the-art needs of businesses today. Earth observation data is essential in monitoring remote areas of interest, such as croplands, forests, coastal and inland water areas, and assets like buildings, vessels and aircraft. By aggregating satellite imagery and drone data into their daily operations, companies can take direct action to mitigate risks, plan their operations and estimate projections for the future.
Integrating drone data into workflows
Globhe is a platform that connects over 6,500 local drone operators in 131 countries with global clients, providing drone imagery of up to 1cm pixel resolution. Through the partnership, both companies will generate commercial and technical benefits, aiming to reach new clients and penetrate new markets that are in need of ultra-high-resolution drone imagery and products for their operations.
The partnership will integrate Globhe drone data and services into user workflows and applications, as well as into answr, Cloudeo’s API-based platform for risk analytics and damage assessment. By using Globhe’s experience in drone operations and data collection, answr’s insights, including monitoring natural hazards like floods, wildfires, drought and hail, will be more accurate.
The partnership contract between Globhe and Cloudeo was signed on 17 February 2023. By joining forces, both companies hope to provide the geospatial community with easy access to Globhe’s services, while also enriching Cloudeo’s partner portfolio with unique ultra-high-resolution data.
