Olaf Freier will assume the role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) in the management team of HINTE Expo & Conference GmbH from the first of August.
His primary focus will be on expanding international business and developing new business fields. Specifically, the areas of Mobility and Geospatial will be the key focus for this seasoned trade fair professional.
Born in Lower Saxony (Germany), Freier most recently served as Portfolio Director at RX Global, where he was responsible for international events in the transport and materials sectors. As Global Brand Director, he contributed to the integration of Mack Brooks into Reed Germany.
The 57-year-old graduate engineer marks his return to HINTE, where he had previously played a pivotal role in the development of INTERGEO until 2015 as Managing Director. He was also instrumental in establishing projects in Switzerland, Turkey, and other Eastern European countries.
“I am very excited about the challenging role of shaping our portfolio together with the existing team. In times of rapid market changes, trade fair and event formats must evolve significantly,” Freier said about his future role. “With short decision-making processes and high adaptability, we work closely with our customers and partners to successfully position our events both nationally and internationally. Our goal is to offer creative solutions that provide genuine added value to our existing and potential customers’ businesses.”
