Aerometrex recently signed a partner agreement for its MetroMap service in a multi-million-dollar deal with Melbourne property services company Landchecker. The geospatial tech company has entered into a AUD2.65 million license agreement for its high-resolution MetroMap aerial imagery to be used on Landchecker’s property insights platform.

Landchecker is a Melbourne-based property data and technology business that provides property information to over 90,000 property professionals across Australia, including developers, valuers, real estate agents, architects, and town planners.

High-resolution arial imagery

Steve Masters, Aerometrex’s CEO and managing director, stated that MetroMap’s high-resolution aerial imagery is currently utilized within Landchecker’s online platform, and this agreement allows for the formalization of its use through a license agreement. He also mentioned that this is the largest MetroMap partner program agreement in the history of Aerometrex and will significantly contribute to MetroMap’s Annual Recurring Revenue stream over the three-year contract term.

Under the agreement, Landchecker will purchase a fixed number of tailored MetroMap licenses for AUD800,000 per year for three years. They will also have the option to buy additional licenses at an agreed price without any limitations.

Adam Gandolfo, Landchecker’s CEO, emphasized that MetroMap’s high-resolution aerial imagery is an essential data set used by many Landchecker customers on a daily basis. The increased number of licenses will enable more property professionals to benefit from the platform. He stated, “This partnership will allow us to offer more customers an equally compelling proposition, combining our leading property data and insights with quality high-resolution imagery from MetroMap under flexible and cost-effective commercial arrangements.”

Prior to this agreement, Aerometrex’s MetroMap partner program had around 30 members and contributed approximately AUD1.2 million in annual revenue.
