FlytBase, a leading drone autonomy software platform, has entered a strategic partnership with Pix4D, one of the worldwide leading photogrammetry platforms for terrestrial and drone mapping. This integration will enable FlytBase users to seamlessly upload their drone-captured data directly to the online platform PIX4Dcloud, streamlining project management and minimizing manual interventions.
As automated drone-docked operations grow, so does the volume of data collection. Operators can now conduct multiple daily missions and schedule them in advance from remote command centers. Currently, they must plan and execute docked flights on one platform, manually sort data, and then upload it to a separate processing application, leading to inefficiencies and increased complexity.
Synchronizing geospatial data
FlytBase’s Pix4D Flink streamlines the geospatial data processing by enabling direct syncing of drone-captured data to PIX4Dcloud, an online platform for mapping, progress tracking, and site documentation. PIX4Dcloud uses photogrammetry algorithms to process high-resolution images into accurate, georeferenced orthomosaics, 3D meshes, point clouds, and elevation models. Pix4D’s platform is extensively used in construction monitoring, mapping, and surveying.
FlytBase also offers automation functionalities for docked drone operations, ensuring reliable data collection with flight safety and fleet management features. It integrates with BVLOS hardware and software solutions for safe operations, including parachutes, detect-and-avoid systems, uncrewed traffic management, and weather monitoring systems.
Complying with ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, and GDPR standards, FlytBase ensures top-tier data protection and offers flexible deployment options for enterprise data privacy.
“The integration of FlytBase and Pix4D addresses long-standing operational challenges in the drone industry by consolidating mission planning, data collection, processing, and analysis into a cohesive, end-to-end solution,” said Nitin Gupta, CEO and Founder of FlytBase.
“Efficient drone monitoring of enterprise assets and construction projects has never been easier, thanks to the one-click integration of Pix4D’s photogrammetry technology and FlytBase’s drone autonomy platform. This seamless workflow will automatically deliver the data you need to make the right decisions to deliver the best outcomes,” stated Jeff Muller, director of platform at Pix4D.
