Frontier Precision Announces Acquisition of RJM Precision Instruments

BISMARCK, ND – Frontier Precision is pleased to announce we have acquired the business assets of RJM Precision Instruments of Fife, WA. RJM has had a long history of providing sub-surface locating equipment to the utility, engineering, municipality, and construction markets. “We are very excited to make a big move into the utility location equipment space with this acquisition,” said Dennis Kemmesat, Frontier Precision’s CEO. “And with that, we want to build on and grow the success Gary Moss and his team has had over many years of serving this industry. We want to wish Gary all the best in his retirement!”

With this acquisition, Frontier Precision will be taking over RJM Precision’s former territory for Radiodetection location products including the states of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. Frontier will continue to represent many of the products RJM had shared representation for in the prior indicated states like SECO, Juniper Systems, among others.

About RJM Precision Instruments

We are very proud to be a family-owned business which is now in its 3rd generation! It all started in 1990 when Ron Moss (retired) opened up RJM Company in the Seattle area, providing quality leak detection and monitoring systems to the gas and oil pipeline companies. When Ron’s son, Gary (President) took over, he refined the name to RJM Precision Instruments, LLC, to better reflect the products we carry. Gary continues to operate the company and has grown us to serve 9 US states, plus Alaska. In 2017, we were excited when David Moss, Gary’s Son and our 3rd generation, joined us as a Sales Manager for our UT, AZ, and Western WY regions.
